Case Construction Machinery Net Sales Growth year-on-year in the Third Quarter of 2023
Nov 15, 2023
Despite weak demand in the agricultural equipment department of Kesner Nederland Industrial Group, due to increased sales of construction machinery in the North American market, the combined revenue of the company's two brands Kesner and Nederland for the quarter was $5.99 billion, an increase of 2.0% compared to the same period in 2022, and profit also increased.
The construction machinery department's net equipment sales increased by 6.0% in the third quarter of 2023, reaching 948 million US dollars. This is due to favorable pricing and increased sales in the North American market, resulting in a 2.0% increase in demand. However, this growth was offset by downturns in other regions. According to the performance report of Kesner Netherlands, global sales in the heavy construction equipment industry decreased by 13% year-on-year in the third quarter, while demand for light construction equipment decreased by 3.0% year-on-year.
In addition, the net sales of agricultural equipment in the Netherlands decreased by 2.6% in the third quarter to $4.38 billion, but due to the implementation of preferential pricing policies in all regions, production cost inflation decreased and gross profit margin increased by 0.6%. The company attributed the decrease in sales to a decline in industry sales, mainly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and South America. These difficulties were offset by many positive factors in the North American market.
